10 Days till Christmas

Christmas... already?
We JUST had Thanksgiving...It was a good one too.
My adorable Grandson.. ( I JUST LOVE SAYING THAT!)..... Garrett was there!
He just makes my heart fill with joy.

Eddie, Jamie and BFF Gloria were over. Daughter Allison had to work... I miss when she's not there for the holidays. but she's a nurse... and that's what happens. Jamie and I, had our traditional stuffing making, the night before. I love our tradition!

It snowed in the evening. Nobody is ready for that.

He loved playing with Aunt Jamie's hair

I was just a little happy to see him....

Needing that "after Turkey" nap

NOTHING better than baby giggles
Soooo.. nothing really new.
I did post some bracelets on a Facebook group I created. "the Artists Market" a group to buy or sell
art and art related supplies. check it out.
Surprisingly, I sold quite a few! So, I'm happy about that and I have extra Christmas money.

My daughter Jamie, was featured in a really awesome article  about Cleveland.  That was very exciting! She is quite the ambassador for Cleveland, where she works and lives.

I finally got the tree decorated today. A week after putting it up. My "pre-lit" tree.. only 1/2 lit.....
and had to add new strings of lights. kinda defeating that "pre-lit" thing. Oh well.

I have 3 more days of work, then I'll be officially on VACATION! for 18 glorious, all to my self, do what I want, sleep in, stay in my jammies all day days! I need this...bad.  The days before Christmas, I will be shopping, decorating and cooking.. but after Christmas... no "gottas" only "if I wannas"... yeah! So let's hope these next 3 days go by fast...

So.... It's 1:30 a.m. I'm watching PBS.... and enjoying a really good Barbra Streisand concert. I love her voice and she still sounds great.
Oh... she's singing "Evergreen"... I had played at my wedding. Though I'm now happily, blissfully divorced... I still love that song.

Seeing as how I don't Blog that often.... maybe the next time I do, it will almost be SPRING! It's on the way you know.... (smile)

So..... I will say now.. have a wonderful Merry Christmas with those you love..... Happy, healthy, peace-filled  New Year....

Today was a beautiful, unseasonably chilly, breezy day.

This evening, before Sunset.
Summer really is winding down. But it just got here!
And I'm not even over the "trauma" of  last Winter....
I have a theory. On the of Summer, which is, the longest day of year,
I believe It shouldn't just show up then after a mere few days, "turn back around" (days begin to get shorter)
The days should continue to get longer and longer, till September.. THEN turn back around.
Who do I need to speak to about this?..
We've had a pretty mild Summer, as Summers go in Cleveland. Usually, we have a week or two of 90+ days... not so much this year. It would heat up, then quickly cool down. That works just fine for me. I'm not a fan of sticky, hot weather. Oh, there was a confirmed Tornado, that touched down, about 1/4 mile from my apartment...... I was about 4 miles away at a grocery store at the time, I could hear thunder and actually parked my cart for a few minutes, so I could go outside to take pictures, of the Clouds. To me, it was just a simple Thunderstorm.
Taken just about the same time this storm was producing an EF1 Tornado,
just 4 miles away.
I  came home unaware. As I got in, my phone was ringing. It was our city's reverse 911, "Red Alert" it said a Tornado had touched down on Andrea Rd. What???.....  It was strong enough to blow the roof of several homes.  About 2 weeks later and 2 miles away the other direction, another Tornado skipped through. My friend Nancy had Roof damage, but luckily nothing serious.  I love Storms.. but not when they're severe......  Those were a little too close.
This Summer has been pretty laid back. I'm a homebody, so my big excitement, is a weekend all to myself and sleeping in.
We finally got to go out to celebrate sister Deb's birthday, 2 months late.
We had fun going to  Ferrante Winery, in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Stopping at the lake. I was taking pictures, of the trees and the Lake..
and the squirrel, in the tree just over our picnic table, that was pelting me with Acorns!
When we were leaving, I turned around to take quick glance at the lake, and noticed a couple,
who was sitting at a table.. in perfect silhouette. I snapped several pictures, and my sister Deb was taking some too. When I was done,
I walked over to the couple and told them I had taken a few pictures of them and asked if they would
like me to email them. the Woman said "yes! thank you!" She told me it was their 10th. anniversary... how cool is that! She gave me her business card,  thanked me again and gave me a hug.
I emailed her  the pictures and she responded, that is was a very kind gesture and how it made their anniversary even more special. awww.

This is one of several, I took

This one, was taken by my sister Deb.
It's perfectly  composed. I love this!!

Out to dinner, then a PJ party at Rita's.
We hung out on her porch till 2 a.m. just drinking Wine, and laughing or heads off.
The next morning Deb made us all breakfast, that we enjoyed on the porch.
Then..........we all did the ALS "Bucket Challenge"..... yes, it was recorded..
but.. no.. I won't be posting it .. {smile.}

Preparing for our ALS "Ice bucket Challenge" YAYA style

I'm off this weekend. yay me! I got up 7:30.. and got started with making some new bracelets. Tomorrow, I will clean out the kitchen cupboards before the Browns game.... I know I'm a wild Woman!
So.. now you're all caught up with my
non-stop exciting life. Woot! Woot!

Okay, I never have been good at keeping up with my Blog.
But... I do like having one! even if no one's reading it but me. I like looking back...

Today... officially?.. I'm on Vacation! 6 days all to myself, (including the 4th. of July holiday and weekend) unless someone discovers I'm home and tries to infiltrate my space. Sounds mean, but sometimes, I just need ME time. When I don't HAVE TO DO ANYTHING, GO ANYWHERE. And I'm free to stay in my "in the house clothes" all day and night.
So.... Summer did arrive.  Spring?... well, it made a half-hearted attempt. But... the Snow did
finally stop and the Cold was finally replaced with WARM. That's all that matters.

Since my last post?.... besides the weather. We've had Easter, Mothers Day, and oh yes My Grandson Garrett's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!.... the year absolutely flew by!! I'm pretty sure, he's the cutest little boy ever! So I've posted a few birthday pictures
I made a little "Garrett" banner, and designed SPECIAL wrapping
paper. (

I made his birthday card too.

See?... cutest baby EVER!

He's a sweet little boy, and even "shared" his birthday cake
with Mom & Dad

He really wasn't quite sure what to do
with that cake. If he only knew!
One of the gifts from me.... ART SUPPLIES!
they're never to young.
I can't wait for our first ART Day! xoxo

I got him the Baseball cap too... so darn cute!!

Chillin' with his birthday guests lol!!!

I've also posted some ART I've done. Mostly doodling at work. Oh, I finally got up my new
"ARTkissed" hand painted letters, above my window, complete with the twinkly lights I've been wanting for a long time.... oh and a new mini blind too.

Still not sure about the paint colors, but works for now.

Metallic paint, and faux "screws" washed with
Brown paint, for a "rusty" look.

Before distressing

I love my LIPS light!

Prisma Colored pencils I love how vivid the colors are.
This one looks like a Tattoo, to me

Pressed wood blocks

STILL trying to organize my ART room

Prisma color abstract

Prisma colored pencils.. "homage to Spring"

Prisma colors.. and a great reminder

Sooooo.. that's about it. All caught up. It is 4:36 already and I got up at 5:30a.m! vacation days
fly by. But if I were at work right now?... it would only be about 10:30 a.m... right?
Okay.. going to back to today's art project.
Have a happy 4th of July!
